Pile load test

Pile load testing is a geotechnical procedure used to assess the load-bearing capacity and performance of piles, which are deep foundation elements. It involves applying a load to a pile and measuring its response, such as settlement or displacement, to determine its ability to support the designed load.

Pile load test by Anchor method

Pile load testing using the anchor method involves using reaction piles or anchors to provide a reaction force when applying a load to a test pile. This method is particularly useful when competent rock or strata are found at shallow depths. The test setup typically includes a test pile and two or more reaction piles, with a reaction beam placed on top of the anchor piles. A hydraulic jack is used to apply load to the test pile, which in turn applies an uplift load to the anchor piles. Here's a more detailed breakdown:

What we offers?

1. Reaction Piles/Anchors: Instead of relying on ground resistance to provide the reaction force, the test uses additional piles or anchors installed around the test pile. 2. Reaction Beam: A beam is placed on top of the reaction piles to distribute the reaction force. 3. Hydraulic Jack: A hydraulic jack is used to apply a controlled load to the test pile, typically in increments. 4. Load Application: As the load is applied to the test pile, it compresses the pile, and the reaction force from the anchor piles prevents the test pile from moving. 5. Measurements: During the test, key parameters like pile displacement and load are continuously measured. 6. Test Termination: The test continues until the pile reaches its specified load or a predefined settlement criteria is met.

Benefits of Research

Benefits of the anchor method: Suitable for various soil conditions: The anchor method can be used even in areas where ground resistance might be insufficient. Precise Load Application: Hydraulic jacks allow for controlled and precise application of load. Efficient for certain projects: The smaller footprint of the reaction system can be advantageous in certain projects.
